Mountain Equipment Superflux Hut Slipper slippers
The ideal companion for a stay at a mountain hut or in an expedition tent at base camp. Thanks to the combination of POLARLOFT® Featherless synthetic insulation and Helium™ 20D upper material, the Superflux Hut Slippers are warm, light and easy to pack.The Helium™ 20D upper material is exceptionally light, packable, soft and at the same time very durable. The high density of the weave ensures that it is windproof and prevents heat loss. This material is ideal where light weight and packability are the most important factors.
The synthetic thermal insulation material Polarloft ® Featherless is suitable for cold and permanently humid conditions. It doesn't mind getting wet, dries quickly and has an excellent ratio of thermal insulation to weight with an exceptionally small volume . It is made of fibers of different diameters, where, as with feathers, thicker fibers serve to maintain loft and thinner ones prevent unwanted air circulation. It is stuffed into the chambers like feathers, in small clumps, thanks to which it achieves much more loft and is softer and more flexible than classic synthetic insulations, which are inserted into the chambers in whole sheets.
