For the new collection of technical gloves, ORTOVOX decided to use the non-porous Sympatex® membrane, which guarantees perfect protection against water and wind. In addition, it is excellently breathable. Unlike other membrane technologies, the Sympatex® compact non-porous membrane is based on a physical and chemical principle. The water-attracting (hydrophilic) part of the membrane absorbs moisture from the body and evaporates it outside. Since the membrane does not have pores, the breathability is not limited by particles of dirt, salt crystals or washing powder residues and thus has a longer life.The highest quality Merino wool
ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.- ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
