The ORTOVOX RAVINE 26 S backpack is a super light freeride backpack. It is minimalist, but at the same time technically sophisticated and you will appreciate it especially if you put up with the stopwatch on the ascent, but at the same time you want to enjoy a challenging descent. Attaching and detaching skis or storing cats without the need to fold the backpack from the back makes it an ideal companion when you want to save precious seconds during the ascent. In addition, it has all the usual options for attaching equipment and thanks to the ergonomic FULL CONTACT LIGHT BACK back system, it sits comfortably on the back. A certified Clasp Spine Protector can be inserted into the backpack.
Equipment attachment options
Everything important has its place and the equipment can be easily attached and detached with simple systems. At the same time, the backpack has no unnecessary straps that would bother you during the descent.
The uniqueness of this backpack is the ability to fasten and unfasten skis to the cross (D-skifix) without the need to fold it from the back, by passing them through the strap eye in the lower part of the backpack and fixing them in the upper part by wrapping the strap with a carabiner, which you then fasten to backpack shoulder strap.
At the bottom of the backpack there is a separate compartment for cats or climbing belts, which has an entrance from the side and you can easily get into it without having to fold the backpack from the back. In addition, it has all the usual options for attaching equipment and you can easily attach to it:
- skis (A-Skifix)
- sticks
- 1 ice axe
- rope - under the lid of the backpack
- helmet - using the net that is part of the backpack
- ice screws - for the material strap of the backpack
Clear and practical pockets
The ORTOVOX RAVINE 26 S backpack has several practical pockets:
- You can get to the main chamber from above or from the side. You simply put the backpack on its side on the snow and open the side zipper or stand it up and straighten the things in it through the top entry under the practical lid. The chamber is spacious enough to fit the equipment you need to keep dry.
- The second chamber serves as an avalanche safety bag. There are compartments for avalanche equipment - shovel blade, shovel handle and probe. Wet equipment is thus separated from other things. You will also find a small pocket and an Emergency Card here.
- Large front pocket for valuables, glasses, energy bar or map, which also includes a plastic carabiner for keys.
- A separate pocket on the bottom of the backpack with a side entrance, which you can easily access without having to take the backpack off your back. It serves for quick and easy access to the jacks or climbing belts that you always want to have at hand.
- Small pocket on the shoulder strap - for phone, glasses or energy gel
- Inside the backpack is a separate pocket in which you can insert the certified Clasp Spine Protector.
- The backpack is compatible with the hydration system.
- It is possible to attach a helmet from the front of the backpack (using a net).
