Comfortable back system for all-day wear
The spine system is made of 3D pressed memory foam ergonomically bent S-SHAPE. The back is softer to better follow the movement of the body and not push any edge. The shoulder straps are sewn directly onto the back system, so the weight of the full backpack is evenly distributed. The chest strap with signal whistle stabilizes the shoulder straps, which you will appreciate especially when skiing.
Even weight distribution
The weight distribution is ensured by the padded wide waist belt and shoulder straps, which are cushioned on the inside so that they do not press on your neck. The shoulder straps are ergonomically adapted to the human figure. These straps can be tightened not only from below, but also from above, and the backpack will adapt better to your figure. The hip belt can be unfastened and flows seamlessly around the body. You won't feel any joints and will enjoy comfortable walking or climbing all day long.
Equipment attachment system
To the ORTOVOX PEAK 40 DRY backpack you can attach all the necessary equipment for high-altitude tourism, mountaineering and ski mountaineering (skis (A-Skifix), rope, 2 ice axes, poles, helmet, carabiners). Every piece of equipment has its place, it is fixed firmly, and it is quick and easy to put on and take down.
Comfortable access to the contents of the backpack
You can get to the main compartment of the backpack through two entrances. The first variant is through the collar under the removable upper lid of the backpack with SIMPLY & FAST fastening. The collar can be pulled down by pulling the string. Entry will only be allowed when you pull the plastic clip and thereby release the system lock. The second option is to open the side of the backpack, covered with a waterproof zipper, so the contents of the backpack are always protected and dry. Thanks to the bright interior, you can easily find everything you need.
Well-thought-out pocket system
The backpack has several practical pockets. Each compartment and pocket has its purpose and allows you to have things at hand whenever it is needed.
The unique waterproof backpack ORTOVOX PEAK 40 DRY still achieves a low weight and, thanks to the materials and technologies used, it is also very durable and strong. Due to the high-frequency welding of the robust waterproof material NYLON 360D and the polyurethane surface treatment on the inside, this is a waterproof backpack (more than 50,000 mm) that will not let you down. The backpack is PFC free, thus saving the environment. If you put your backpack on stones, lean against a tree or walk all day in the rain, the equipment and the backpack itself will remain undamaged and dry, without the need to use a raincoat.
Lightening the backpack up to 1130 g
The weight of the backpack with all functional elements is 1440 g, but you can lighten it up to 1130 g. You can achieve this thanks to the removable padding of the hip belt and the removable lid of the backpack.

The backpack was adapted for people with an average back length of 42-50 cm - for a figure of approximately 170 to 195 cm. However, the ORTOVOX PEAK DRY backpack can also be purchased in a variant for those of you with a back length between 36 and 44 cm. The length is calculated from 7. cervical vertebra to the upper part of the pelvis. The backpack is not only modified in the length of the back, but also changes in the shape of the shoulder straps and adjustment of the waist belt. The backpack thus fits perfectly and holds more firmly on the back.
