New Beta-spun technical yarn with proven natural properties. Thanks to beta-spun technology, ORTOVOX comes with an improved popular MERINO COOL collection - now the materials used are even more durable and stable than ever before.The new model of the women's T-shirt ORTOVOX 150 COOL LOGO TS is more durable and stronger, but at the same time retains the natural cooling properties of the Tencel® fiber. Beta-spun technology from the SÜDWOLLE Group is based on a new spinning method in which polyamide fibers are wrapped around a core of Merino wool and Tencel®. Thanks to the protective layer of polyamide, the resulting material is more resistant to abrasion and tearing, but at the same time retains the key properties of merino wool yarns and Tencel® fibers. With this collection, you are equipped for everything from alpine tours to alpine climbing.
The highest quality Merino wool
ORTOVOX uses only the highest quality Merino wool from Tasmania for all underwear. Merino wool is a material that degrades only negligibly over time and retains its functional properties for many years. The length of all fibers used is at least 6 cm, which is not standard in the production of woolen linen. The longer the fibers, the stronger the yarns can be obtained, which prevent the formation of holes when the material is worn. The quality of the fibers is primarily determined by its length, fineness and the same diameter of the individual fibers.ORTOVOX also has demanding criteria for sheep breeding itself, which significantly affects the quality of its wool. In order to fulfill it, ORTOVOX only buys wool from a few selected farms that are subject to regular inspection. ORTOVOX checks 64 different quality criteria that every farm must meet. Thanks to this, the wool used in ORTOVOX underwear is only of the highest quality.
