The main material of MERINO SHIELD LIGHT is made of 91% polyamide, which makes it extremely durable, which is proven by the fact that it can withstand more than 100,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, which measures the material's resistance to abrasion. This means that it is one of the most durable materials used by ORTOVOX. Merino wool comes only from selected farms that meet the strict ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP) standards.ORTOVOX obtains new merino wool from certified sheep farms that adhere to ethical principles of animal treatment.
Only wool from Tasmanian sheep meets the demanding requirements of the ORTOVOX brand.
These farms are regularly monitored as part of the OWP. The wool itself is 100% ecological and therefore extremely environmentally sustainable. Merino wool provides perfect comfort and a feeling of softness thanks to the thin fibers that make up fine woolen yarns. In addition, this wool perfectly regulates temperature and wicks away sweat, so you will feel comfortable in any conditions. In addition, Merino wool neutralizes odors thanks to its antibacterial effects, and it is very easy to care for.
