The Mountain Equipment SENJA WOMEN'S JACKET is a golden middle ground. It is not the lightest, but it appeals to you with its resistance to abrasion and weather and offers really enough thermal insulation for normal alpine and Tatra conditions. DRILITE ® Loft 40 D is a strong and light (63 g/m 2 ) waterproof surface material with a PU coating. It is highly breathable and resistant to water and wind. It also has a water-repellent DWR treatment on the surface, which contributes even more to keeping the feathers dry even in wet conditions. The feathers are thus protected from getting wet, and thus also from losing their heat-insulating properties. Thanks to its water resistance and low weight, the feathers maintain a high loft for maximum thermal insulation in any conditions.
Quality duck feathers with 700+ fill
Very high-quality duck feathers originating from China contain at least 90% down, its filling is at least 700 cuin and meets the ethical DOWN CODEX ®. The feathers are gentle without chemical treatment. This destroys mites and the environment for their life, which allergy sufferers will appreciate. The feathers retain their important fatness and loft, are easily packable, have high insulation and low weight.
DOWN CODEX ® – a symbol of an ethical approach to animal husbandry
DOWN CODEX ® is a control of the origin of feathers, its quality, ethical and ecological approach to animal husbandry. Every year, the farms from which Mountain Equipment buys feathers are inspected by the independent Swiss organization IDFL to meet the highest quality parameters. This guarantees a high quality of living conditions for the animals, and therefore also the quality of the feathers. One does not work without the other.
Down jacket with DRILITE ® Loft 40 D waterproof material
The upper fabric is made of DRILITE ® Loft 40 D polyamide material, which protects the feathers from getting wet and thus also from losing thermal insulation properties. At the same time, this substance enables the maximum loft (inflating the chambers) of the feather, which significantly supports the heat-insulating properties.
Each chamber is individually filled with down with a minimum ratio of 90/10 with an excellent filling capacity of 700 cuin. The last chamber has a special shape that closes the space around the waist and minimizes heat loss. The lower hem can still be pulled down with the help of ingenious laces, the use of which is really intuitive. In total, the jacket contains 195 g of down, which is enough to serve on really cold days in the mountains. Therefore, do not be afraid to take it to the demanding conditions of the European mountains.
Mountain HC hood - helmet compatible
The hood with an elastic hem is easily adjustable with the help of a back pull with an elastic cord and a plastic clip. Fits well with or without a helmet. The drawstrings of the hood are sewn into the channels so that they don't bother you in the wind.
