The modern women's down jacket Mountain Equipment PAIYU WOMEN'S JACKET with a unique patented construction of offset chambers offers extra thermal comfort, which is so necessary in the winter mountains.

 

Thanks to its construction, it is very light and easy to pack, while its thermal insulation is comparable to much heavier expedition down jackets. With the waterproof DRILITE ® Loft top material, you can wear the PAIYU WOMEN'S JACKET even in bad conditions, with the certainty that the feathers will not get wet immediately and will not lose their thermal insulation properties.

  • Outer waterproof material DRILITE ® Loft 40 D allowing high breathability of feathers for maximum thermal comfort.
  • 237 g (size 12) pure feathers in a ratio of 90/10 and a filling of 700 cuin.
  • Unique construction of offset chambers "Double layer offset baffle construction".
  • Internal heat-reflective material for even better thermal properties of the jacket.
  • Each chamber is individually filled with feathers with a precisely defined amount of feathers for optimal insulation.
  • Fully adjustable insulated hood Mountain HC Hood, compatible with a helmet.
  • High-quality YKK ® two-way zipper with an internal leg that prevents heat loss and a snap on the bottom - When securing, you unzip the bottom of the jacket and secure it with a snap under the safety. That way, the jacket won't get in the way when working with the rope.
  • Two insulated zipped pockets.
  • Two chest pockets.
  • Internal chest pocket with zip and two large mesh internal pockets.
  • Elastic sleeve hem with velcro fastening.
  • Adjustable bottom hem of the jacket with drawstrings. Separate cord for pulling the front and back parts, so that there is no danger of getting caught in the carabiner when you attach it to the material eye of the seat harness.
  • Supplied together with a packing bag.

The golden mean when choosing a warm down jacket

If we compare the technologies with the help of which a down jacket can be made, the construction of offset chambers is truly unique. Compared to classic quilted chambers, it is more resistant to wind, has fewer cold spots, and therefore much better thermal insulation.

 

Compared to down jackets with 3D chambers, it is significantly softer and more comfortable to wear and has less weight. On the other hand, it will never have as good thermal insulation as 3D chambers, and it will never be as light and resistant to the elements as FIRESTORM™ construction jackets.

 

Down jackets with double layer offset baffle construction are a golden middle ground, but definitely not a compromise. For a good price/performance ratio, you get a reward in the form of a real portion of warmth and comfort.
