Penco L-Glutamine is a free amino acid that has positive effects on sports performance. It prevents the decline of immunity after a demanding training, protects muscle proteins from degradation, increases the level of growth hormone in the blood, increases the transfer of water to muscle cells and protects against fatigue and overtraining syndrome.
Glutamine supports the production of cells of the immune system, positively affects the body's defenses. With a high load, the need for glutamine increases sharply, and therefore supplementation with L-glutamine is recommended especially during long training sessions.
Dosage: L-Glutamine has a two-phase dosage: 1. initial phase: 2 x daily 5 to 7.5 g for 1 week 2. maintenance phase: 2 x daily 2 to 4 g. It is advantageous to administer the first dose within 1 hour. after performance and the other before going to bed. There should be a delay of 3-5 hours between each administration. After 4-6 weeks, it is advisable to discontinue the use of L-glutamine for 14 to 30 days in order to prevent unwanted adaptation of the organism. Maximum daily dose: 15 g, given for 1 week. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
Preparation: The selected dose is dissolved in 150-250 ml of water or a protein drink, e.g. Penco® Magnus or Penco® Whey Protein. One level teaspoon contains about 4 g of L-glutamine.
