Synthe combines the aerodynamic design of a Vanquish helmet with the low weight and ventilation quality of the Aeon. The compact shape and low profile easily intersect the air stream, whether it blows from any direction. The Roc Loc Air clamping system offers a top fit on the head and supports ventilation. Side airplanes and a sunglasses port are the icing on the cake.

PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much impact energy as possible and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The aim of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall. When impacted at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only in the millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
What is MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angle impact (for example, when you catch a branch with your head), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters along the MIPS layer, thus protecting the head and brain from sharp rotational jerks.
