Fenix BC05R V2.0 rechargeable rear flasher - unboxed

The rechargeable Fenix BC05R V2.0 red flasher offers two power levels - 5 and 15 lumens. In both performance levels, it has the function of fast flashing, slow flashing and constant lighting. Power is provided by a built-in lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 400 mAh, which is charged via the USB-C connector directly in the lamp. The light source is five red LEDs, which are hidden under slightly convex optics that create a wide light cone visible at an angle of up to 180 degrees. The effective warning distance of the flasher is 50 meters, but the light is visible from a distance of up to 230 meters. The weight of the lamp is a negligible 28 grams. The package also includes a clip, thanks to which the lamp can be attached to a backpack, clothes or the strap of a headlamp. It is therefore possible to use it not only as a rear bicycle light, but also as a safety red light when jogging and hiking.

The design of the holder allows quick assembly and disassembly of the bicycle light without the use of tools. The sleeve fits a seat tube with a diameter of 20 to 35 millimeters. In fast flashing mode with a power of 5 lumens, the lamp lasts up to 120 hours, Fenix BC05R V2.0 will provide you with safe lighting for night training, regular commuting to work and endurance races.

All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing and afterglow) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

The use

To turn it on or off, hold down the button on the lamp for about 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by briefly pressing the button (they are cyclically switched in the order low 5 lm - slow flashing 5 lm - fast flashing 5 lm - high 15 lm - slow flashing 15 lm - fast flashing 15 lm).

Battery capacity indication - with the lamp off, press the button briefly once, then the backlight of the button lights up for five seconds. Steady green lighting means the battery is charged to more than 85%, green flashing means charging to approx. 50 - 85%, steady red lighting means charging to approx. 25 - 50% and red flashing means the battery is almost empty (less than 25%).

Warning about a discharged battery - if the battery capacity falls below approx. 25%, the lamp will automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible endurance (the lamp cannot then be switched to higher modes) and the button will start flashing red. In this case, we recommend charging the lamp as soon as possible, so that the protective electronics built into the batteries do not turn off and thus the light goes out when it is discharged.

Charging

• Unfold the rubber cover of the USB-C connector on the back of the lamp and use the included cable to connect it to a computer, power bank, network USB adapter or USB car adapter. Any charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging.
• While charging, the button lights up red, after full charge it lights up green.
• The charging time is approx. 1.5 hours. The Li-pol battery used does not suffer from a memory effect, so the light can be charged at any time.
• After charging and removing the power cable, do not forget to seal the cover of the USB connector.

Notice:

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the lamp yourself, this will void the warranty.

• If the lamp flashes or does not light up, then it means that the battery is discharged. Charge it up.
