Fenix HM61R Amber V2.0 rechargeable headlamp
The new generation of the
Fenix HM61R Amber rechargeable headlamp offers a luminous flux of up to
1600 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500 K) with
an afterglow of up to 162 meters. It is also equipped
with red Everlight LEDs. It is powered by one rechargeable Li-ion battery type 18650 with a capacity of
3400 mAh, which is
recharged directly in the lamp via a magnetic connector. In addition, the battery has a built-in USB-C connector, so it can be easily charged even outside the headlamp without a magnetic cable. The control button has a built-in
indicator LED, thanks to which you will always know when to recharge the battery.
The end of the lamp is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything iron.
The lamp is powered by a digitally regulated
constant current to guarantee a constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (while they are gradually discharged).
The practicality of the headlamp increases the possibility of removing the light from the head holder and using it also as a pocket or work lamp. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket or strap. The Fenix HM61R multifunctional lamp is an ideal companion for various sports activities, trips to nature, home and work.
The HM61R Amber V2.0 version is specially modified for the Czech and Slovak markets, it differs from the standard version in the following points:
- The included battery is equipped with its own USB-C connector.
- The diode has a neutral shade of light instead of cold.
- High mode has a power of 400 lumens. Durability in high mode has thus been extended compared to the standard HM61R V2.0 version.
- The stronger red light has a maximum output of up to 10 lumens.
- Memory of the last red light mode.
- After unlocking, it turns into a white light.
All lamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operation time, waterproofing, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
A set of black AFH-02 straps without reflective elements can be purchased for the headlamp - they are suitable, for example, for the army, police, or hunters. It is also possible to purchase USB adapters for the mains or car, USB-C cable, Fenix APB-20 case, large Fenix APB-30 case, twofish bikeblock holders, lockblock or a holder for attachment to bicycle handlebars, for easy attachment to a helmet holder Fenix ALG-03 or holder for NVG mounting Fenix ALG-04.
Use
Straight from the factory, there may be
a black insulating cap inside the lamp on the battery. Before first use,
remove it from the battery.
- When turned off, the headlamp will turn on to the last used white light mode by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds (except for the highest mode of 1600 lumens, when it will turn on in 400 lumen mode).
- When the headlamp is off, press the button twice quickly to turn on the last used red light mode.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is switched on, it is possible
to cycle through power modes in the order of 5 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1600 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 1 lumen - red 10 lumens - red flashing (when switched on to red light). The lamp has a memory and is always switched on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light, except for the highest mode of 1600 lumens, when it is switched on in the mode of 400 lumens).
Switching between colours: With the headlamp on, it is possible to switch between white and red light by holding the side button for 1.2 seconds.
Battery charge status indication: If the headlamp is turned off, one short press of the button turns on the battery charge status indication for 3 seconds, which is shown by the coloured backlight of the button:
- Constant Green: 100 % - 85 %
- Green Flashing: 85 % - 50 %
- Constant Red: 50 % - 25 %
- Red flashing: 25 % or less (recharge the headlamp as soon as possible).
The indication works correctly only with a rechargeable 18650 battery.
Protection against overheating: During long-term use of the lamp at high power modes, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 65 °C or higher, it will automatically reduce power to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 65 °C, it will then allow the user to select high modes again.
Charging: Plug the charging cable into the USB connector of the computer, the USB adapter in the network or in the car. Attach the cable to the charging pad on the headlamp, it will attach itself using magnets. During charging, the light in the button lights up red, after charging it lights up green. All red light modes and all white light modes except the highest can be used while charging, but the charging time will increase accordingly. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L18-3400U V2.0 battery takes approximately 4 hours.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp automatically switches to lower power modes. If this happens at low power, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in time. Note: This function is only active with a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery.
Headlight lock against unwanted power on: When the headlight is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked state.
Unlocking: When the headlamp is locked, press the switch for 3 seconds, the light will flash four times in red, and the white light Eco mode will be activated. If the headlamp is locked, it will flash four times after clicking or briefly pressing the switches, which indicates the locked state. Unwanted switching on in the luggage can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter of a turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the lamp head yourself, this will void the warranty.
- When using disposable CR123A batteries, do not try to charge them in the lamp.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings must also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the lamp will be properly protected against water.
- If the light flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty - charge it or replace it.
- The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back part of the lamp is loose - tighten it.
