A solution for better safety of cyclists when riding on normal roads, where there are frequent accidents caused by rear-end collisions. It can register and warn the rider of approaching vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters. As part of the setting, the connected unit triggers an alarm (sound warning) immediately after the vehicle is registered. It also recognizes the speed of the vehicle and if it approaches too fast, the display turns red and the reverse LED light changes (increases) the intensity (flashing).

The third generation of the Varia™ cycle radar for safer riding on the roads. While riding, it actively alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind and at the same moment starts to signal your presence on the road to the approaching vehicle. New generation radar has a Bluetooth feature for connecting and use of functions available on a new Varia smartphone app. The design of the bike mounting bracket has also been improved and includes adapters for different types of seatposts - varying from circular standard to AERO profile

The device also supports several configuration profiles for its optimal use, e.g. while riding in peloton, it softens its light intensity when flashing on approaching vehicle to not blind other cyclists

The radar ideally complements the equipment of a compatible cycle computer from the Edge® 25 / 130 / 520 / 520 Plus / 530 / 820 / 830 / 1000 / 1030 / Explore series and greatly expands its functionality. It can also be used in combination with watches from the Forerunner 945 / Fénix 5 (Plus) / Fénix 6 / Tactix Delta / Vívoactive 3 series
