The MC1 sole has been developed for use with drop pedals: it has a large box around the panniers for easy snapping in and out even in the mud, the mounting points for the panniers are moved to the rear for really aggressive downhill riding, and a rigid insert is placed under the panniers for great pedal power transfer and the sole on the toe and heel is more flexible and, together with the directional pattern on the sole, will support you when walking uphill and downhill. A cushioned EVA insert takes care of shock absorption .
Easy lacing thanks to round laces, ventilated mesh material, padded tongue with a pocket for the laces so they don't get tangled in the chain, rubber on the heel and toe to protect the shoe and foot, grip against the heel coming off and details in the Crankbrothers design.
A perfectly thought-out shoe for cycling and walking next to the bike, when you can't do it anymore on the bike. Now you can't talk about anything. Go ride.
