Ritchey WCS Carbon C220 Matrix stem, Ø-31.8 mm
You really can have it all – the new WCS C220 stem rivals the revolutionary design of the C260 stem for performance, but is quicker and easier to install and remove thanks to a press-fit handlebar interface and forward-facing sleeve. First proven on the Ritchey TRAIL stem, the C220 handlebar clamp design creates a more secure interface by wrapping the handlebars a full 220°. Bolt forces are balanced with the clamp so that the stem body "hugs" the handlebars less prone to damage. This clamp design allows for a lighter faceplate and stem body without sacrificing strength or stiffness. The Carbon Matrix stem body is forged 7075 aluminum with a stiffness-enhancing carbon exoskeleton that makes the stem 12% stiffer than the WCS alloy C220 stem. Premium black stainless steel screws are used throughout.
