Prologo NAGOR4 3D PAS NACK saddle, 137 mm
After launching the first saddles with CPC technology in 2013, a patented system with three-dimensional conical nanostructures that increase grip and vibration absorption, Prologo decided to extend the 3D technology to the entire saddle and create a new ultralight model with an innovative multi-sector cover designed based on pressure test analysis.
The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS has the same ergonomic T-shape and compact dimensions (245x137 mm) as the new NAGO R4 multi-design saddle, which has already been adopted by several professionals, such as Tadej Pogačar, Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Pello Bilbao and Alberto Bettiol.
DESIGNED BASED ON PRESSURE TEST ANALYSIS
The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS saddle was born from a study of the Pressure Map MyOwn tests, Prologo's patented system, which enabled a scientific analysis of the pressure areas applied to the saddle by various professional and amateur cyclists.
The collected data made it possible to design and create an extremely light 3D saddle with a cover made up of separate sectors, which can best adapt to different pressure areas and ensure maximum support and comfort during all phases of pedaling.
3DMSS, MULTI-SECTOR SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY GOES 3D
The cover of the new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS saddle combines the MSS - Multi Sector System technology with an innovative 3D printing process, which made it possible to create five separate sectors for each side of the saddle, which can optimally adapt to individual areas of applied pressure and adapt to the cyclist's morphology.
Each sector has different complex geometric shapes, different density and differentiated elasticity coefficients depending on position and function:
- the rear part has a high density and a high elasticity coefficient to provide more support to the sit bones and facilitate the traction phase of pedaling;
- 3 middle parts have a low density and a medium coefficient of elasticity to provide maximum comfort in places where soft tissues rest;
- the front part has a medium density and a low coefficient of elasticity to provide good support even when it is necessary to pedal on the toe of the saddle.
Part of the design effort was also focused on improving a typical weakness of 3D saddles, their weight, which is notoriously heavy on traditional saddles.
Using data from MyOwn's Pressure Map tests, it was possible to identify areas of the saddle where lower pressures were applied.
The upholstery parts in these areas have been made with specific 3D geometric shapes designed to limit the material used, but without reducing comfort or limiting the performance of the saddle.
The injected long carbon fiber base and Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) skid help further reduce overall weight while still ensuring maximum stiffness.
Výsledok? The weight of the new NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS saddle is only 148 grams.
The absolute lowest weight compared to all 3D models currently on the market.
