The Ergon SR Pro Carbon women's saddle is designed for road, gravel and cyclocross bikes.
The developers at Ergon came up with a completely new concept of women's saddles. In order to create a new generation of saddles, they used both X-ray and CT during research. The female racers of the Canyon/SRAM team participated in the research.
Women are significantly more mobile in the pelvic area than men. In the typical position for riding a racing bike, the pelvis often tilts more forward. This causes considerable pressure in the genital area. The SR Women distributes the pressure when sitting in a more swaying forward position, and the wide V-shaped design matches the shape and mobility of the female pelvis.
Due to the characteristics of the female pelvis, women suffer on standard saddles. SR Women relieves sensitive pressure on soft tissues using a narrowed relief channel that prevents numbness and pain. Relieving this pressure better distributes the body weight and at the same time allows for a more comfortable position.
The saddle has OrthoCell® inserts, which are more durable and lighter than gel, ensure the best pressure distribution and provide the highest rebound force. This means that with each turn, the cranks copy the movements of the pelvis and return to the starting position very quickly. Orthopedic foam ensures comfort and is extremely durable at the same time.
The ramp at the back of the saddle provides effective support for your butt. The ramp keeps you propped up so more power goes into the pedals.
For even greater comfort, the saddle has anti-friction sides. This function reduces the friction of the thighs against the saddle when pedaling.
