Garmin Vector 3 Single pedal
Vector ™ 3 Single is a simplified version of the wattmeter. Vector 3 ™ with power sensing on only one (left) pedal with the option to upgrade to a full-fledged dual sensor Vector ™ 3. In the future, you can upgrade this solution to a full-fledged version of the wattmeter with sensing on both pedals at any time. Simply purchase the Vector ™ 3 Single Upgrade pedal to expand its functionality and measurement options and available metrics.
Main advantages
> Actual power measurement (W) directly on the pedals, where the pedaling force is concentrated.
> Measurement of pedaling cadence, total power (W).
> Easy and fast assembly / disassembly.
> Wireless communication with compatible ANT + ™ devices and Bluetooth® wireless interface.
Pedal and power sensor design
> The pedals are made of carbon composite.
> Metal parts are made of stainless steel.
> The pedal shaft / shaft is milled (CNC) from hardened steel.
> Used sealed needle bearings with low rolling resistance and long service life.
Piezoelectric resistance sensors, which are installed around the circuit directly on the left pedal axle, ensure accurate and reliable power measurement. The sensors are calibrated and tested during production. Replaceable batteries (4 pcs LR44) for power supply are now integrated directly in the pedal axis together with an accelerometer for measuring pedal cadence. In short, the whole system works in such a way that the piezoelectric sensors on the axle record the force exerted during pedaling and, in combination with other input data (crank length), calculate the output power in watts with high accuracy.
Available data output
Standard metric provided by Vector ™ 3 Single on output - current and total power (W), pedaling cadence and more.
PHYSIOLOGICAL MEASUREMENTS - in combination with pulse measurement when driving through compatible devices, you get access to specific measurements for cycling:
> FTP = Functional Threshold Power - the highest average power you are able to maintain for 1 hour.
> VO2max = Test - estimation of aerobic endurance - maximum oxygen utilization.
- Integrated pedal cadence sensor as part of the pedal design, without the need for retrofitting.
- Bluetooth® integrated interface for connecting Vector pedals to other Bluetooth® compatible third-party cycling computers, for example.
- Vector pedal power supply is completely integrated in the axle. Each pedal is powered by replaceable batteries type LR44 / SR44 (4 pcs) - normal endurance 120 hours.
- ANT + wireless communication interface for connecting Vector to a compatible device or PC
- Actual power meter (W) - Patented technology for direct measurement of the delivered power in real time with power sensing on only one of the pedals.
- LOOK KÉO pedals The - Vector system uses the proven KÉO pedal design, which is one of the most used.
- thanks to the simplified design of the Vector system (without external PODs), the pedals are immediately ready for installation and, if necessary, use on several bicycles independently.
- USB ANT: For proper functionality, update the Vector control software. You can easily upload everything you need (firmware and other updates) without having to remove the pedals via Bluetooth (via smartphone) or ANT + (connected compatible Edge). All you need is the pedals within a radius of 5 m from the connected smartphone or Edge bike computer. To start the update process, the pedals must be connected to a smartphone (Bluetooth) or you will use the ANT + wireless interface of the connected Edge. You can handle everything via the freely available smartphone application> Garmin Connect ™ Mobile.
