Garmin Vector 3 Double are pedals of a completely new design with increased measuring accuracy and installation is much easier, they can be easily used on multiple bicycles. The pedals communicate with the Garmin Mobile app or via Bluetooth.
The pedals do not contain Pody (as with older versions 1 and 2), they have an ANT + transmitter fully integrated in their body. The absence of pods / ANT + transmitters gives the user more freedom. You don't have to worry about damaging the pedals in the event of curbs or other obstacles that could be caught by the ANT + transmitter.
Vector 3 pedals are thinner and lighter than previous versions. They are mounted in the same way as any bicycle pedal, no professional assistance is required.
The wattmeter is in each of the two pedals, thanks to which they are able to measure the force of each foot separately and provide a balance of power between the left and right foot while driving. Other data they provide are pedaling style, sitting shoes or separate statistics with seated and standing ride evaluation.
The Garmin Vector3 Double measures a unique amount of information that is largely available while driving. The top quantities include the independently measured power from the left and right foot. The total power that the pedals also provide is not given by an approximate estimate based on measurement on the one hand and finishing on the other, but by a simple sum of the values measured on the left and right foot. The mutual ratio of these values is the given balance "balance" left / right. Thanks to this, you will know what percentages the left and right foot contribute to the performance. This ratio can also be used for rehabilitation after a lower limb injury, when the pedals can significantly accelerate regeneration.
The pedals determine the effects of the shoe force / trunk force on the pedal and display whether the force from the foot is transmitted in the axis or there is a shift left / right and by how much. Furthermore, they can display in how many degrees the engagement of the left or right leg begins, as well as the angle at which the exercise begins and ends. They automatically detect sitting and standing.
Thanks to the IQ Connect platform and the TrainerRoad, The Sufferest and Zwift training applications, the pedals offer better evaluation of riding style even on a bicycle trainer.
The Garmin Vector3 pedals are compatible with many products - the handy Garmin Edge GPS bike computers, Garmin Forerunner or Garmin phoenix GPS sports testers, or accessories like the Garmin Varia cycling radar, all covered by the Garmin Connect training server, which evaluates Garmin Connect training information from millions of users. .
The pedals are powered by 4x LR44 / SR44 with a lifespan of up to 120 hours.
