The Zipp SL 80 Race handlebars do just that as a premium aerodynamic carbon handlebar specifically designed for use with the SRAM RED AXS set. The handlebars have an overhang that covers the brake hose where it exits the levers. This shaping creates a platform that connects to the brake lever and provides an ideal place for your hands when riding with a grip on the levers. The shape of the arches has been refined so that the rider has easy access to the brake lever when riding with a grip in the arches. The SL 80 Race also has defined markings in the stem and top of the handlebars for easy placement of SRAM Wireless Blips. The upper part is shaped like a wing to improve aerodynamic efficiency, while also containing key innovations that allow you to ride comfortably in the grip on top of the handlebars. Ideal for long climbs or for those who like to hold the handlebars on top, the top slopes slightly down so your hands don't sit flat. The tops of previous aero handlebars were usually not under wraps, leaving the uncomfortable and potentially slippery carbon exposed to hold in the up position. However, the SL 80 Race includes an easy-to-apply heat-shrink grip that covers hoses and blips and provides a non-slip grip surface.
