The ergonomic evolution of Ritchey handlebars goes even further with the groundbreaking Beacon XL model. Apart from its extremely wide 36° flare angle, its most striking feature is its width. This dramatic flare and extra width not only provide unbeatable comfort and stability, but also plenty of room for handlebar bags.
When riding in a low grip, the Beacon doubles the comfort thanks to a very shallow 80mm drop and a shorter reach than usual. The ergo-aero style top offers wide hand support and a gentle backslope for a more natural hand position when riding on top of the handlebars.
The unconventional appearance of the Beacon XL belies its comfort and practicality. Inspired by the world of randonneuring (long-distance cycling) and adding a bit of real-world practicality, the Beacon allows you to easily move your hands around the handlebars without compromising your bike's control, even when loaded with all the gear that can now fit on the handlebars. Subtly changing the position of the hands allows the body to stretch and move while the wheel remains stable.
Ideal for adventure tours and bikepacking on both asphalt and gravel trails – or even for city riding – the unique Beacon XL brings a whole new level of comfort and control.
