Minimalist, high-density foam grips have been commonplace on mountain bike handlebars for decades, where they perform admirably in the most demanding conditions. Because Ritchey has so much experience and history with mountain bikes and riding gravel bikes, we thought, "Why not take the same idea as mountain bike grips, make them longer, put them on gravel handlebars, and go off-road?". We're glad we did - The result is amazing comfort on long rides over rough terrain or long weekend road trips.
Flexible and compliant, high-density foam Gravel Grips are placed on the ends of the drops and easily accommodate the curvature of the handlebars and special features like the Bio-Bend on the Ritchey VentureMax handlebars. How far up the pole they go is up to you. Place them where they meet the levers or shorten them however you like and tape the rest of the way up the bar. Alebo... anything in between.
Weighing only 50g, they hardly weigh down your setup. And with a thickness of 4 mm, they offer plenty of cushioning without feeling too bulky.
