FOX 38 Factory Grip2 29" fork, 170 mm, orange
FOX 38 Factory Grip2 29" suspension fork
Enduro specialist with big lift. Float 38 fork, designed for modern and uncompromising super enduro riding. Could a 2 mm larger inner leg diameter really make such a big difference? FOX says yes. But, of course, it's more than just those 2 millimeters. The new FOX high-travel enduro fork offers travel between 160-180 mm and has one hidden innovation that other forks do not. The internal shape of the fork column is oval, which increases stiffness without a large increase in weight. So far, only FOX Float 38 forks have this technology. The label " Factory " says it all. The best technologies that FOX can offer are available in the Factory Series models, including the ultra-durable original Kashima Coat surface treatment, which ensures smooth running of the fork.
GRIP 2 Damping: FOX has taken GRIP2 damping to the next level by adding patented VVC technology to the high-speed compression circuit. VVC is a patented variable valve control system that enables external fine-tuning of suspension performance. Allows adjustment of high and low speed compression and high and low speed rebound.
Float: The lightweight FLOAT air suspension system automatically balances the positive and negative air chambers for increased responsiveness and traction regardless of air pressure setting. Riders can fine-tune the properties of the positive air spring with Volume Air inserts
Bleeders: The forks have bleed valves in the back of the lower legs, which you can use to equalize the pressure in the fork legs with atmospheric pressure. The different pressure in the fork reduces the sensitivity of the suspension, so you can adjust it by simply pressing the valve with your finger. The pressure in the legs changes mainly at higher temperatures, e.g. during intensive use in long descents or at high altitudes.
Lower Leg Channels: New air-oil channels allow trapped air in the lower legs to pass through the sliding bushings. The second function of the channels is to allow oil from the lower legs to reach the top seals (buffers) and keep them freshly lubricated.
Floating Axle: A new system for the axle prevents the parallelism of the fork legs from being affected by different front hub widths. Perfect alignment reduces friction during suspension, which is thus more efficient and smoother. You can adjust the mechanism on the right leg of the fork exactly for your hub width, and when retracting the axle, compression of the legs is eliminated.
Lower Leg Arch: The bridge between the lower legs has a new rounded shape, which has increased the stiffness of the fork and at the same time created more space between the bridge and the bike frame when the fork is fully compressed.
Oval steerer: The internal shape of the fork column is oval, increasing stiffness with only a minimal increase in overall weight
