FOX 40 Factory GripX2 29" Suspension Fork, 203mm, 2025
Developed for World Cup races around the world, the 40 always has a place on the podium and is the perfect suspension fork for DH racing. The GripX2 damping is now even better tuned and offers more traction than ever before, so the 40 doesn't have to give up its place on the hot seat. The label "Factory" says it all. The best technology we have to offer is available in our Factory Series models, including our ultra-durable original Kashima Coat finish that keeps the fork running smoothly. Starting in the 2025 model year, FOX comes with completely redesigned Float 40 downhill forks that bring a lot of new technology as well as improvements to existing technologies.

USED TECHNOLOGIES:
The GripX2 is the most adjustable, supportive and smooth DH focused suspension that FOX has ever developed. It has high suspension travel and creates maximum contact with the ground as well as great cornering traction. This gives cyclists great confidence to push themselves to the max in downhill and enduro races while reducing muscle fatigue. The GripX2 makes a big difference.
Bleeders: The forks have bleed valves in the back of the lower legs, which you can use to equalize the pressure in the fork legs with atmospheric pressure. The different pressure in the fork reduces the sensitivity of the suspension, so you can adjust it by simply pressing the valve with your finger. The pressure in the legs changes mainly at higher temperatures, e.g. during intensive use in long descents or at high altitudes.
Lower Leg Channels: Air-oil channels allow trapped air in the lower legs to pass through the sliding bushings. The second function of the channels is to allow oil from the lower legs to reach the top seals (buffers) and keep them freshly lubricated.
Floating Axle: This system for the axle prevents the parallelism of the fork legs from being affected by the different width of the front hub. Perfect alignment reduces friction during suspension, which is thus more efficient and smoother. You can adjust the mechanism on the right leg of the fork exactly for your hub width, and when the axle is retracted, compression of the legs is eliminated.
Lower Leg Arch: The bridge between the lower legs has a rounded shape, which increased the stiffness of the fork and at the same time created more space between the bridge and the bike frame when the fork is fully compressed.
