Onyx D1 38 sets a new standard in suspension with E-Designed technology. What does it actually mean to be specifically designed for electric bicycles? It means we've thought about these needs since day one of developing this fork, and after years of engineering work, creative thinking, and countless hours of testing, we've nailed it.

The damping cartridge D1 has undergone a significant update. The new cartridge design creates high-flow linear suspension dynamics for initial damping support without the worry of harshness at high speeds. The compression cartridge has been enlarged by 30% and the sensitivity to small shocks and damping consistency have been significantly increased.

Off The Top Air System - is an exclusive feature of DVO forks that allows the rider to adjust the initial sensitivity of the fork. Typically, a fork with a firm feel (higher air pressure) will have little or no shock sensitivity. DVO solved this problem with OTT. Now a stiff setting can also have amazing sensitivity to small bumps. This is achieved by externally adjusting the bias on the negative springs. Increasing (turning clockwise) the OTT will make the fork more responsive (softer) at the beginning of the stroke. Decreasing (turning counter-clockwise) the OTT will make the fork less responsive (firmer). The OTT feature will not change the center or end travel of your fork.
