Since people also use Alivio on trekking bikes for many years, Shimano decided to make a dedicated trekking groupset.

Where previously but in favor of mountain bike skills had to be made concessions, the new ALIVIO Trekking components now show as flawless representative of its kind has never been a ALIVIO group so slim, quiet and smooth. In comparison to the mountain bike version of the developer filed with the trekking components in particular ease of use with low operating forces, ergonomics, and a round, clean design greatest value. The cranksets with either 48-36-26 or 44-32-22 teeth are suitable for each available with or without pants guard ring and consistently for the use of chain lockers.
