Galfer FD575 Pro brake pads for SRAM Maven, metallic
Galfer brake pads designed only for Sram Maven series brakes are marked FD575. There are four blends available.
Galfer indicates the types of mixture by color - choose the mixture by color:
- PERFORMANCE G1053 (formerly "Standard" - black): these meet all conditions. They have a harder compound and therefore the longest lifespan. Their braking power is reliable in all conditions.
- ADVANCED G1851 (Wet - red): excel in extreme conditions, have a "softer" compound and wear out faster.
- FOR G1554T (For racing - green): no need to "treat". They are immediately effective and have excellent dosing readability, can withstand higher thermal stress and are excellent even in the wet.
- E-BIKES G1652 (E-bikes and DH - purple): are developed for higher thermal stress, which will be appreciated primarily by DH racers and e-bike riders, but not only them.
In general, the softer the compound (sharper braking and better in the wet), the faster they wear out and vice versa.
We recommend using the names of the mixtures and their colors as a guide. Purple is ideal and right for e-bikes, but that doesn't mean you can't get this compound for a road bike, for example. You will definitely appreciate it on endless Alpine descents. It's ideal to really choose based on how you brake and the conditions you drive in, and not just choose based on color/name.
