Threaded MTB bottom brackets are mostly English threaded, aka BSA, and have the same threads and the same 34mm inner diameter, but a wider 73mm shell. This set connects SRAM and Quarq 24/22mm spindle cranks to the BSA MTB standard. The main components of this kit are bearings pressed into a threaded cup, which are then screwed into the frame. The Coated version has a metal coating applied to the grooves, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in longer life and lower air resistance.
