Giant RideControl EVO control unit + display

The main part of the RideControl EVO unit is a display housed in a solid aluminum body and located in the middle of the handlebars. The exact graphic display is inverse, that is, white values are displayed on a dark background. The display shows you information about the state of the battery and also the approximate range, which is continuously recalculated according to the current energy consumption from the battery. Furthermore, there is an indicator of the selected driving mode, and in addition to the usual cycle computer functions (e.g. instantaneous speed, distance traveled, clock, etc.), this unit also offers navigation and fitness functions. When connected to your smartphone, the display can also show notification of messages, e-mails and calls. The control unit with buttons is right at hand on the left handle and, in addition to switching driving modes, it also offers a walk assist function, which will be useful when guiding the bike while walking. The RideControl mobile apps will then offer you additional functions. For charging e.g. mobile phone from the battery of the electric bicycle, there is an easily accessible USB connector on the body of the display (located on the side).
