The success story of the Esbit ® brand began in 1936 with the invention of dry spirit by Erich Schumm. Other products soon followed, such as the legendary "pocket stove”, which was produced over 10 million units and is still being produced today. The company ESBIT GmbH has gained the reputation of a leading, world-renowned producer of dry fuel (spirit), which today finds wide application in many areas such as camping, hiking or mountain climbing, but also as an integral part of the "last rescue package" of the armed forces and humanitarian organizations on all over the world. Among other things, this dry spirit and cooker is used today by many NATO armies.
