Powermeter is very helpful for cyclists that are interested in their performance. Thanks to these devices, your training could be more effective, or you can dispense your performance during the race. You either can measure only in the left crank or in both (data about the differences between your left and right foot).

Some manufacturers offer economical variants where they mount the meter onto your crank, so you do not have to buy a new one with the meter inside. The opposite is buying a crankset with the meter inside. Very popular is to measure through pedals (mounting is easier). And it is possible to share the device between more bikes. Most of them use batteries, and the newer ones are chargeable. The data transfer works through ANT+ and Bluetooth, so you can monitor them on your device (phone, bike computer).
