GHOST Lector Pro 29 bicycle GHOST Lector Pro 29 bicycle

Every detail of the new Lector hardtail from Ghost is optimized for maximum performance. The newly developed full-carbon frame made of light or ultra-light carbon (WC and PRO model) is not only dazzling in appearance, but also offers an ideally balanced ratio between weight and stiffness. Its specific sports geometry is designed for precise control and maximum agility on technically demanding trails. The new Lector was developed by Ghost in close cooperation with female racers from the Ghost Factory Racing Team, who won, for example, the well-known Cape Epic event, where they took eight victories during eight stages. Thanks to them, the new bike from Ghost is technically optimized to meet even the most demanding requirements of XC racers.

The stroke, which ranges from 110 mm (size XS-M) to 120 mm (size L/XL), aims for maximum performance. The new Lector has a longer reach, a more perpendicular seat tube angle (75.7 °) and a seat post without an off-set. Reach is now an impressive 510 millimeters in size L. This, combined with a head angle of 68° and a length of chain stays of 430 millimeters, results in a wheelbase of 1221 millimeters.

Ghost presents two different frame designs that differ mainly in weight and price: the Ultralight Carbon (UC) version weighs 885 grams in size S, and the Light Carbon (LC) version weighs 930 grams. Weights include paint. The new frame also promises an 11% increase in head tube stiffness and a 5% stiffer center. It is also placed 5 mm higher than the previous generation.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:
  1. The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
  2. The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
  3. The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
  4. If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
  5. If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
    1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
    2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
    3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
    4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
    5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
    6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
    7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
    8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
    9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
