Cannondale Trail SE 2 29 bike

Cannondale Trail SE 2 is a modern hardtail with a completely redesigned frame compared to its previous version. In addition to the design changes, the boost fixed axle 12x148mm is new. The standard is a tapered head tube, SmartForm Premium processing of the frame alloy, internal bowden routing, BSA 73mm center composition and, as is customary with Cannondale, SAVE rear struts guaranteeing greater riding comfort.

The geometry of the Cannondale Trail 29 SE 2 corresponds to modern trends, and thanks to the boost fork with 120 mm travel, the head tube angle has been lowered more. As a result, the bike gained stability in broken terrain, but at the same time it still maintains agility and playfulness. The use of a telescopic seatpost corresponds to the trail focus, of course with internal bowden guidance.

The installation of a RockShox 35 Silver 120 mm spring fork, a 1x12 Sram SX set with a 11-50 tooth cassette, Sram SX cranks with a 30-tooth single shifter and the already mentioned telescopic seat only underlines the focus of the Cannondale Trail 29 - pure fun on trails and paths with an overlap of XC, when the rider can comfortably handle even a light marathon at a reasonable pace.

Level and quality of equipment

Light and occassional rides

Suitable not only for commuting, but also for weekend trips outside the city. You can ride on cycle paths, unpaved roads and in easy terrain. If you ride more demanding terrain or more frequently, you will need to fine-tune more often.

Aluminium frame

Lighter, relatively durable and stiff material that is affordable. The most widespread material for the production of bicycle frames.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Reliable in all conditions, better modulation of the braking effect with the use of less force on the lever. Heavier weight, more demanding service.

Coil fork

Provides adequate comfort and is usually installed on bicycles for recreational and less demanding riding. The disadvantage is its relatively heavy weight.

29” wheels

The advantage is better terrain passability, better rolling and traction. However, they are heavier, which also applies to tires.

How we ship bikes

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:

The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.

Cannondale, an American brand established in 1971, is characteristic of its innovative approach and modern design. They are not afraid of unconventional solutions that are moving the evolution forward. Many of you probably remember their HeadShok forks with suspension in the crown of a set. Since the 2000s, it is the "simple" fork Lefty characteristic with its firmness, weight and smooth course.
