Lapierre Xelius DRS 7.0 bike

Unleash the pure joy of riding on the open road with the fourth generation of Lapierre road bikes, carefully engineered for speed and performance. The improved aerodynamic design cuts through the air like never before, and every pedal stroke propels you forward faster and smoother. This bike isn't just made for riding; it's a celebration of Lapierre 's passion and relentless pursuit of perfection for over 75 years, and every ride is a chance to feel alive and free.

AERO road bikes are increasingly becoming a universal machine and are gradually replacing Performance bikes. And the new Xelius DRS unifies and replaces these two segments in the Lapierre collection. The data clearly shows that air resistance is key, and it is this saving that helps the rider improve and save valuable seconds that decide the race.

Aerodynamics
The aerodynamics of the frame play a key role and are behind it detailed testing in the wind tunnel and computer simulations. Thanks to this , the air resistance of the frame itself has been reduced by 16% compared to the previous generation Xelius SL, and this significant advantage brings the rider a saving of 15.8 W at a speed of 50 km/h.

Carbon frame
3D Tubular™ This is a unique and logical connection of the seat stays to the top frame tube far in front of the seat post. It leaves the seat tube free along its entire length and able to better dampen vibrations and provide the rider with the necessary comfort.

There are two types of frame on offer, which do not differ in shape but only in the choice of carbon fibers and the amount of resin. The elite frame marked UD SLI TEAM LIGHT with a weight of 790 g (size M before painting) is a privilege of the top models 10.0 and 11.0 (SE). The weight of the standard frame is 908 g.

Geometry
The most noticeable change in geometry is the 0.5° more vertical seatpost (74°). Shorter head tube with lower air resistance and longer reach for a more sporty, performance-focused ride. The range has also been expanded to include an XXL size for riders over 195 cm.

Cockpit and components
The highest models marked 8.0 - 11.0 are equipped with DT SWISS carbon wheels and a brand new Lapierre combo (325 g). All models include a carbon aero seatpost with zero offset.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.

Our bike shipment is as follows:
  1. The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
  2. The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
  3. The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
  4. If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
  5. If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
    1. Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
    2. Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
    3. Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
    4. Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
    5. Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
    6. Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
    7. Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
    8. Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
    9. Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
