The Cannondale Slate is a new category of road bike that carries the label "Fun Bike". Slate is a bike for those who are looking for new challenges and don't want to swallow kilometers only on the road and want to try some trail and experience some excitement.
LARGE COAT - 650BX42C
The basic idea behind the creation of the Slate model is based on the idea that if massive 42c tires are put on 650B wheels, the same rolling quality, same outer diameter as with a 700x22c combination (bikes / tires) will be achieved. This means that this way we can achieve a huge grip in the corners and Plauen driving thanks to the bulky tires. All this with ease of driving and speed comparable to classic road machines. And on top of that, with great handling.
"FULL FUN" SLATE GEOMETRY
Since we didn't have to compromise geometry when building the Slate due to thick tires on big wheels, we could fully focus on maximum riding fun in all situations. The short rear construction is the basis of playfulness and agility, while the longer front and more laid-back fork guarantee the stability needed on broken roads and especially then on trips on unpaved roads. The rider's position is somewhere halfway between the Elite Race and Endurance categories.
LEFTY OLIVER FORKS
Designed to handle all your adventures. Lefty Oliver is a fork designed purely for the Cannondale Slate model. 30 mm stroke, significant effect of low-speed compression and unique negative spring COG (Coil over Gas) for maximum stability when pedaling. Of course, it also includes PBR lockout and rebound control, a carbon outer shell and an inner leg forged from OPI type aluminum are a bonus. This is the most advanced suspension fork that has appeared in the world of road wheels so far.
SAVE PLUS MICRO-SUSPENSION
The distinctive shaping of the seat and chainstays on the Cannondale Slate ensures the perfect balance between the ability to dampen shocks and vibrations and high lateral stiffness. What more could you want when you're flying down a rocky trail or cruising cobbled streets.
PREPARATION FOR TELESCOPIC SEAT POST
Nothing else helps control confidence as much as a telescopic seat post. Thanks to the diameter of 27.2 mm and the preparation for the internal control line, it is very easy to improve your bike with this element.
FIXED AXLE SYNTATION 142X12
The fixed axle contributes significantly to the rigidity of the frame. The thread of the fixed axle is integrated into the exchange hook of the derailleur.

All bicycles at the MTBIKER shop are new, not-ridden, from an official distributor and with a full warranty. Several brands even offer a lifetime warranty on the frame after registration. We perform all warranty services in MTBIKER stores after personal delivery or after sending the bike (or its part) by courier.
- The bicycle is taken out of the manufacturer's box
- The bicycle is assembled, inspected and adjusted (front and rear derailleur, shock, fork, wheels,...)
- The bicycle is carefully packed back into a box and shipped
- If you order a bicycle for in store pick up or home delivery, the bicycle will be waiting put together, checked and ready to use for you.
- If you order a bicycle via courier to your home address, the following must be done at home:
- Take the bike out of the box and carefully remove safety material and foils
- Mount handlebar to stem (1 minute, 4 or 5 mm hex hey is needed).
- Mount front wheel to fork (1 minute, without the need of any tools if the bike has a quick release).
- Loosen the screws in the headset, straighten the stem with the front wheel, tighten the upper screw on the fork and then tighten the headset (2 minutes, 4 or 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Mount the pedals to the cranks while lubricating the thread and carefully mounting it the right way (1 minute, 8 mm hex key or 15 mm wrench).
- Mount seatpost to frame (10 seconds, without needing any tools if the frame has a quick link).
- Inflate the tyres or fork and shock to desired pressure (2 minutes, pump needed).
- Check the tightening of hex keys and quick-releases (2 minutes, 4 and 5 mm hex key is needed).
- Go for a test drive! Handle your bicycle carefully until you get used to it. If the bike has disc brakes, their performance will be limited from now on - they will gain their full power after 4-5 strong brakes at higher speed.
