Fun bike for new challenges and sports enthusiasts, road bike with off-road capabilities, Lefty Oliver fork, Full Fun geometry, the main goal is fun.
Cannondale Slate is a new category of road bike, which is called "Fun Bike". Slate is a bike for those who are looking for new challenges and do not want to swallow miles just on the road and also want to try some of the trail and experience a little excitement.
LARGE TIRES - 650BX42C
The basic idea behind the Slate model is based on the idea that if solid 42c wide tires are fitted to 650B diameter wheels, the same rolling quality, the same outer diameter, is achieved as with the 700x22c (bicycle / tire) combination. This means that in this way we can achieve huge grip in corners and driving thanks to bulky tires. All this with ease of driving and speed comparable to conventional road machines. And on top of that, with great handling.
GEOMETRY SLATE "FULL FUN"
Since we didn't have to compromise on geometry when building the Slate due to the thick tires on the big wheels, we were able to focus fully on maximum driving fun in all situations. The short rear structure is the basis of playfulness and dexterity, while the longer front part and the more laid fork guarantee the stability needed on broken roads and especially then on trips on unpaved roads. The rider's position is somewhere halfway between the Elite Race and Endurance Endurance categories.
LEFTY OLIVER FORK
Designed to handle all your adventures. Lefty Oliver is a fork designed purely for the Cannondale Slate model. Stroke 30 mm, a strong effect of low-speed compression and a unique negative COG (Coil over Gas) spring for maximum stability when pedaling. Of course, there is also the control of the lockout and PBR bounce, the bonus is the carbon outer casing and the inner leg forged from OPI type aluminum. It is the most advanced suspension fork that has ever appeared in the world of road bikes.
SAVE PLUS MICRO-SUSPENSION
The distinctive shaping of the seat and chain stays on the Cannondale Slate ensures a perfect balance between the ability to absorb shocks and vibrations and high lateral rigidity. What more could you want when you fly down a rocky trail or cross a cobbled street.
PREPARATION FOR A TELESCOPIC SEAT
Nothing else will help control as much as a telescopic seatpost. Thanks to the diameter of 27.2 mm and the preparation for the internal control, it is very easy to improve your bike with this element.
FIXED AXIS SYNTATION 142X12
The fixed axle contributes significantly to the rigidity of the frame. The fixed axle thread is integrated into the interchangeable derailleur hook.
