Muc-Off Precision tubeless tire repair kit
Ride uninterrupted with this tubeless repair capsule. It is light, easy to use and is the perfect backup in case you fail to seal a rough defect with sealant.
The strong and durable body made of CNC machined 6061 aluminum serves as a shelter for the wicks and the handle of the tool is covered with silicone for an easy grip in any conditions.
The 2-in-1 tool made of hard 304 stainless steel is both a threading needle and a reamer, and comes with 5x thin, 5x medium and 5x thick wicks. It is compatible with all tubeless road, gravel and MTB tires.
Instructions for use:
1. Identify the puncture site and remove debris or the source of the puncture.
2. If piercing requires medium or coarse wicks, drill the hole several times with the notched part of the tool. Be sure to use a 45 degree angle and be careful of the inside of the casing so you don't damage the tubeless tape or casing wall.
3. Choose a wick - the largest size is designed for MTB tires, medium for gravel and thin for road tires, but you can choose the most suitable one according to the size of your puncture. Press one end of the wick firmly between your fingers to make it flat. (If using a thin wick, thread it through the tip at the end of the tool, not through the main larger groove).
4. Pass the wick through the slot in the end of the tool so that the wick is centered in the center of the tool.
5. Locate the defect and then slide the tool through the hole (at a 45 degree angle) until the wick is about halfway up the casing. Make sure the ends of the wick stay on the outside of the jacket.
6. Twist the wick inside the casing by slowly turning the tool clockwise a few turns and slowly pull up to remove the tool - the wick will remain in the casing and the hole will be plugged.
7. Re-inflate the tube to the desired pressure and you're good to go (no more than 80 PSI recommended on a road bike).
8. After returning home, it is recommended to shorten the ends of the wick so that at least 3-5 mm still protrude from the sheath (be careful when trimming).
Keep out of reach of children. The tool has sharp edges, so use it carefully. For road tires, it is strongly recommended to replace the tire with a new one as soon as it is safe to do so, especially if you intend to use it with high pressure.
