A practical helper when replacing rim brake cables and adjusting the position of the brake blocks. Some mechanics also use these pliers when adjusting the converters. Sometimes they are called the third hand, because they allow the arresting of the pre-tensioned cable in any position and, at the same time, the arresting of the brake shoes.
