Most tire sealants use slowly biodegradable liquid polymers (such as natural or synthetic latex) to repair punctures; Végétalex instead contains only plant-based particles and fibers - finely ground olive pits and cellulose fibers - to provide the perfect clogging effect when punctured. This mixture, held together by xanthan gum (made from simple sugars), quickly and permanently fixes defects from small tire pores to larger defects (up to 5 mm).
Extremely durable
Durability was one of the priorities of the "Végétalex" project. Because Végétalex does not rely on the solidification of a liquid polymer to repair punctures, but on a sophisticated mixture of different shapes and sizes of natural particles with xanthan gum, it has a long "active" life inside the tires.
Starting at 3 months in extreme conditions (highly porous hot weather tires and low amount of sealant) Végétalex will maintain defect repairs for more than 6 months on most tires. Thanks to this, it is also suitable for soul applications.
Easy
Végétalex has been fine-tuned to obtain high mobility, so a small amount is enough to quickly fill the inner space of the tire. For Végétalex, the manufacturer recommends using approximately 20% more than the amount recommended by the iCaffelatex application for Caffélatex. For example, for a 29 × 2.10" (54-622) tubeless tire, iCaffélatex recommends a minimum of 70 ml (approx. 2 1/2 oz.) of Caffélatex or 84 ml (approx. 3 oz.) of Végélatex.
Biodegradable and completely plastic-free
Végetalex does not contain ammonia or other aggressive chemicals, it is not toxic or corrosive. Végétalex does not contain macro or micro plastics, no rubber particles (beware: recycled rubber decomposes very slowly!), no aramid fibers (which remain in the environment for a long time...): all components of Végétalex are highly biodegradable. Végétalex does not trigger allergic reactions in people allergic to products made from natural rubber latex. However, it may contain traces of nuts.
Note: As with all sealants, aluminum rims can oxidize (due to water content) unless the metal surface of the rim is anodized/protected or covered with tubeless tape.

Especially those of us who don't drive very often wonder if the sealant in our tires is still liquid (or not), which can spoil the driving pleasure. We say that Végétalex is ideal for e-bikes, because with an e-bike you often have to deal with maintenance; low maintenance putty is definitely a welcome change. With more structured tires like e-bike specific tires, the Végétalex will easily last all season, so you can spend less time maintaining your bike and more time riding.
Easy cleaning
Végétalex does not contain pigments or fast-setting polymers, so it is very easy to remove from surfaces. Even when dry, Végétalex can be cleaned with soapy water and a brush.
