Perfetto RoS 2 excels in dry conditions thanks to its high breathability, but also in wet conditions thanks to exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabrics from Castelli. There is a soft fleece fabric on the front and a lighter and more flexible fabric on the back that maximizes breathability while providing excellent water repellency.
The Perfetto RoS 2 jacket keeps out all the cold wind while being much more breathable than the typical polyurethane membranes used on most jackets that try to compete with it. When you stay drier during performance, you don't need as many layers. The beauty of this jacket is that it has no insulation on its own, so a thin base layer is just right for mild conditions, while the addition of an insulating layer (warm jersey or Castelli Alpha 2nd Layer) will allow you to wear this jacket well into the winter. You decide.
The "2" part of the name refers to the latest version's updates, including a YKK® Vislon® zipper with both top and bottom openings for more adjustable ventilation. The reflective elements on the back are more visible, the seam at the top of the shoulder has been moved to the back and the three pockets can hold more things. While the Perfetto still remains fit for performance, the new model has provided more room across the chest, shoulder and biceps.
This is a jacket that definitely belongs in every cyclist's equipment.
