If you look closely, the Perfetto RoS 2 is basically a long-sleeve version of the Gabba RoS 2. So is it just a warmer Gabba? Not really.
The long sleeves make it a jacket that covers a wide range of conditions. As on the Gabba, the RoS badge means it excels in dry conditions thanks to its high breathability, as well as in wet conditions thanks to Castelli's exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabrics. On the front is a material with a light fleece inside and with water resistance on the surface, while a lighter and more flexible fabric is on the back, which maximizes breathability and comfort, while providing excellent water repellency.
The Perfetto RoS 2 jacket keeps out all the cold wind while being much more breathable than the typical polyurethane membranes used on most jackets that try to compete with the Perfetto. Since you stay drier, you don't need as many layers underneath. The beauty of this jacket is that it has no insulation on its own, so a thin base layer is just right for mild conditions, while adding an insulating layer (warm jersey or Castelli Alpha 2nd Layer) will get you below freezing. You decide.
The "2" part of the name refers to the latest version's updates, including a two-way YKK® Vislon® zipper for even better adjustable ventilation. The reflective elements on the back are more visible, the seam at the top of the shoulder has been moved to the back and the three pockets can hold more things. The Perfetto still remains fit for performance, but the new model feels more roomy across the chest, shoulders and biceps.
This is a jacket that belongs in every cyclist's equipment.

Castelli is a classic Italian brand known for its high-quality cycling apparel. They have been on the market since 1876, and they started with clothing for famous Italian football teams. In 1910, their first cycling clothing was made for the world champion Alfredo Binda. They introduced to marked their aerodynamic elastic bibs made from Lycra in 1977.
