This is a jacket designed for fast riding on those days when it's too warm for a jacket and too cold for a jersey. Normally you could use a vest and arm warmers on a day like this, but this jacket does it better. Instead of blocking all the wind, the stretch fabric allows a small amount of air to pass through. But at the same time, it blocks enough air so that you don't catch a cold. Polartec® Alpha® insulation cooperates with the outer fabric in key areas.
The jacket has an aerodynamic, tight cut. Not that you need aerodynamics in the winter, but at Castelli they firmly believe that speed is fun. The slim fit also makes it warmer than minimalist fabrics would normally allow. Other features are strictly focused on the rider: An easy-to-slide YKK® Vislon® zipper facilitates one-handed ventilation. Three rear pockets provide enough space for anything you need on long rides. It is shortened so that it does not wrinkle unnecessarily in the front or back. Reflective details help you be seen. The fabric is water-repellent on the surface to protect against splashing water and short showers.

In 1910, their first cycling clothing was made for the world champion Alfredo Binda. They introduced to marked their aerodynamic elastic bibs made from Lycra in 1977.
