Usually, a jacket with zippered sleeves is a compromise that isn't particularly good at anything. This is because the jacket becomes a vest, which is a fundamental mistake and is usually exacerbated by poor zipper construction. The Perfetto Convertible is almost identical to Castell's renowned Perfetto RoS 2 jacket with full wind protection, essentially waterproof rain protection, excellent breathability and a snug fit. By adjusting the layers under this jacket, you can cover everything from mild conditions to cold days, whether sunny or wet. The sleeves open just above the elbow to create an almost identical construction to Castelli's renowned Gabba - the choice of professionals. On mild days, you leave the house with long sleeves, and in changing conditions, you roll up the sleeves and put them in your pocket. It's even better than the Gabba when used like this, thanks to the zippered front vents.
If you are not sure whether to buy the Perfetto RoS 2 or the Gabba RoS 2 jacket, then the Convertible version is the way to go. Do you already have the Perfetto and Gabba jackets? Castelli is a classic Italian brand known for its high-quality cycling apparel. They have been on the market since 1876, and they started with clothing for famous Italian football teams. In 1910, their first cycling clothing was made for the world champion Alfredo Binda. They introduced to marked their aerodynamic elastic bibs made from Lycra in 1977.
