Castelli NANO FLEX PRO RACE insulated pants
The original Omloop shorts with an extension up to the knees, now completely made of Nano Flex 3G, a material suitable for all conditions from cold to wet.They could be called a product of "convergence". A few years ago, Castelli were pioneers when they brought the first warm Omloop shorts. Inspired by racers who cut their knee pads to the bend of the knee. This happened at the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad race on a cool sunny morning. Castelli decided to make such pants. During production, they realized that they could do it without using an elastic hem, and that an extra 10 centimeters of fabric could add a lot of warmth. The first Omloop shorts were made of Thermoflex, designed for cold and dry conditions, similar to those usually found in the races from which they drew inspiration.
The change occurred in 2020, when the third generation of Nano Flex fabric was born, which is as soft, flexible, breathable and warm as Thermoflex fabric. Now these shorts are made for cold and dry conditions, but they will perform excellently on wet days as well. They are still a professional tool: they are identical to the model supplied for Team Quick Step.
