ASSOS EQUIPE R Spring Fall S11 shorts, black series
A brand new bib shorts platform designed for racing and high intensity training in cold, wet and demanding conditions during the transition season. The EQUIPE R model is characterized by our warmest textile for spring and autumn. Its tight knit will protect you from wind and road spray or light precipitation.
These new spring and autumn racing line shorts are made from the same insulating fabric as our new winter sleeves, which is an improvement in warmth compared to the previous model of the racing line. Although warmer on the legs and hips, the EQUIPE R ditches the double-layer construction used on the crotch of its predecessor, creating even thermoregulation across the length instead of a lighter insulation on the legs and an over-insulated core. The new fabric is also treated with an eco-friendly water-repellent treatment, so that road spray and light precipitation collects and runs off instead of being absorbed. These shorts feature the new EQUIPE R S11 liner for the first time, featuring innovative shaping for better posture in aggressive riding positions and our patented goldenGate 2.0 free-floating construction.
CHARACTERISTIC MATERIAL
The RX Extreme fabric is our most robust insulator from the RX range. It is a combed, insulating warp knit fabric with high breathability and water repellent treatment - suitable for races in light rain and wind with low temperatures.
CONSTRUCTION/CUT
Our AEDP 11 RacingFit racing fit is an aerodynamic 'second skin' silhouette that has been designed using WorldTour feedback to hug the body in 360 degrees of compression and stability. The construction with a rough cut in the waist eliminates pressure in aggressive riding positions.
TECHNOLOGY
PILtec Plug-In: Light, ultra-breathable fabric strip through the leg openings. Silicone treatment with microdots is invisible from the outside, but when wet it stabilizes the cut and maintains grip.
Acqua Shield Tec: An ecological, water-repellent treatment that causes water to condense and run off the surface of the fabric and maintains a dry microclimate underneath.
X-Frame: A-frame that reduces lower back sag, stabilizes the liner and main body panel during high-intensity riding. It's anchored across the shoulders with our ultra-light weight strap.
Reflective details: A strip of reflective elements on the lower back that captures incoming light and increases visibility in low light conditions.
Insert EQUIPE R S11
Shock-Absorb Damping System Mono 9: Compression foam materials in a breathable 9mm racing platform. Thermoformed shaping eliminates the appearance of unevenness and bruises.
3D Waffle: Patented three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.
GoldenGate 2.0: A free-flowing construction that moves with your body, not against it. The new cut on the wings reduces friction during pedaling.
