If you have 2 bikes and each with a different fork, it is possible to use a bike carrier with a specific mount as well as with a standard 9 mm QR axle.

SeaSucker carriers are manufactured by the company of the same name, based in Florida. The name itself is synonymous with the sea octopus, or more precisely, its suction-cup-covered arms. And it is this system of vacuum suction cups that creates a surprisingly simple, intuitive, yet incredibly durable attachment directly to the car body. It is important to note here, as the manufacturer explains, that the system uses vacuum (underpressure) and not suction cups. And I myself was convinced that there is a fundamental difference after my own research on the web.
According to www.deltakits.com, Vacuum Cup Lesson 101, suction cups are round-shaped objects made of rubber, silicone, and similar soft substances that can be used on non-porous surfaces. Water or air will create a vacuum in the suction cup and the so-called partial vacuum. Vacuum suction cups are also typically made of rubber, silicone, or soft materials, but unlike suction cups, they include a lever, button, or pump that separates the center of the cup from the surface, creating a vacuum that securely holds the outer edges of the cup to the applied surface. Vacuum suction cups are generally flatter, i.e. that they are in more contact with the surface of the material. The result is a safer and more durable "suction" with minimal pressure rebound, regardless of the size of the suction cups.
SeaSucker carriers bring many opportunities to cyclists. Installation is so easy and the individual parts are compact and lightweight that riding with these carriers is a real pleasure. The decision whether to leave the carrier on the car or to store it in the trunk within seconds is up to you. If, despite everything, you are skeptical about Seasucker carriers (believe me, I was too for the first few hours...), you might be convinced by the fact that even names from the professional peloton like Z. have entrusted their valuable horses to them. Štybar, or M. Cavendish who use this carrier. A limitation of these carriers is the fact that the carriers are not lockable to the car. However, based on their compactness and super-fast possibility of disassembling the carrier (really one button on each suction cup that immediately releases the suction...), this should not have a major negative effect on the functionality of the product.
